The drought that lasted from 2006 – 2008 left the water level of Lake Lanier extremely low. Docks no longer even reached the water in some places. In the following years, however, the steady rainfall has served to help Lake Lanier more than recover from that low. This year the lake once again has the beautiful shoreline and full water level that it is known for.
